Over at Poetic Asides, we have been asked to explore the notion of “Operation” – be it the medical kind, the military kind or the concentrated effort kind. Yes, brief visions of Meena Bond did flash through my mind. I settled for something else.
Operation Insanity

Do as you’re told, must you really do?
Do as you must, told you what to do.
Do not stop and think, dream what you can do.
Do not reflect and dream, think and make do.
Contradictions and double speak;
Innuendo and secret language -
Wisdom of bygone ages
Served on veritable platters of Truth;
A siren’s call – seductive and sublime,
Hint of delicacies in Thought and Time;
Resistance and restraint – futile;
Thought and forms nubile,
Wear thin veneers of sanity;
Welcome to Operation Insanity.
